Use the Waiting Room

In addition to locking the conference, you can direct late arrivals to a waiting room. The participants in the waiting room cannot see or speak to each other. Participants receive a notification that they are in the waiting room and can listen to music while waiting for you to unlock the conference and join the main conference.

You can use this feature when you have conferences scheduled back-to-back and do not want participants in the second conference to enter at the end of the first conference. Also, you may not want to start your conference until all the participants are in the waiting room.

To lock the conference and open a waiting room:

1. From the Conference menu, turn on Lock with Waiting Room.



2. To view the Participants in the waiting room, select the Waiting Room tab.



3. You will hear a special tone on your phone as participant(s) enter the waiting room.

4. To move all the participants from the waiting room into the main conference, turn off Lock Conference.

5. To disconnect the remaining callers in the waiting room, turn off Lock with Waiting Room.



6. Click Close waiting room.
